New-look Spurs will kill off Man City’s title challenge for good
Raheem Sterling scored a hat-trick for the Citizens, who were missing Leroy Sane through injury, while Sergio Aguero was not fit enough to start. Bernardo Silva didn’t even make it off the bench too, but truth be told, there was no need for any of them with Sterling in the form of his life.
With four goals in two matches so far, it looks like the forward will be City’s most important - and crucially, most reliable - player.
With Tottenham Hotspur lurking this weekend, we at FBS take a look if Sterling can replicate his exploits from the previous weekend.
FBS says: Sterling is obviously in a good mood after netting a hat-trick. More importantly, check out how he is flexing his biceps on his arm, which is a total alpha move - a clear signal that he wants to be the man this season.
FBS says: Sergio Aguero begging Sterling for his old role as the focal point of City’s attack. Sterling’s nonchalant demeanour shows he clearly can’t be bothered.
FBS says: Sterling practicing his dribbling, with a spring in his step. Focus is fully on the ball, rather than his marker. Makes sense, as defenders usually aren’t able to catch him anyway.
FBS says: Sterling has such a strong aura around him right now that Bernardo Silva can only look on with jealousy. Not that Sterling notices, anyway. He only has his sights set on destroying Tottenham.
