Man Utd's Rashford gets injured, but Liverpool fans aren't falling for it at all
With a transfer ban and a poor start to the season (who loses 4-0 to Manchester United these days anyway?), many had expected Chelsea to struggle. But after 12 games, the Blues find themselves third in the table, one spot above reigning champions Manchester City.
Some have dubbed the Blues as a potential title contender, although we all know that the title belongs to Liverpool now. Still, there’s no doubt that Frank Lampard’s team are one of the best performers in the EPL.
And we believe that part of the reason why they have looked so good is because of the lengthy list of club rules and fines Lampard has put in place this season.
The likes of N’Golo Kante, Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic could be fined £20,000 (S$35,010) if they are late for training, and £1,000 if their phone rings during a team meal or meeting.
Some Chelsea fans thought the fines were excessive. That is, until they remembered how much footballers these days are paid.
One Twitter user, however, pointed out that some of the fines do not make much sense.
And maybe it’s time to update the list of fines again, Frank?
In the meantime, here’s Arsenal’s list of fines. Perhaps it explains a lot about the Gunners’ fortunes this season.
